History of the jewelry

This authentic Afghan Bactrian lapis necklace was produced in collaboration with the National Museum of Afghanistan and the National Geographic Society.

Ancient artisans of Afghanistan crafted this unique piece over 2,000 years ago, using gold, carnelian, turquoise, and other materials. The design of this necklace draw inspiration from the exquisite Bactrian treasure found at Tillya Tepe, known as "Golden Hill", in northern Afghanistan.

Proceeds from sales benefit the National Museum of Afghanistan, with National Geographic and "Gul Kant Design" being trademarks of the National Geographic Society. All rights are reserved.
