The history of the jewelry

Celtic St. Petroc Cross pendant (100 – 300 AD) in sterling silver

St. Petroc was a Welsh nobleman who was educated in an Irish monastery. He later sailed with a small entourage to Camelmouth and here he built a church in Padstow with a Celtic monastery as a center for the spread of the Christian faith. On his travels, he founded churches in Bodmin and Little Petherick, and many other places in England and Wales. He was buried at Padstow. In the 12th century, St Petroc's Church in Bodmin received his relics and they were placed in a basket made of ivory, which can be viewed today.
