The history of the jewelry
Egyptian lapis earrings with scarab have great symbolic value. The ancient Egyptians attached great religious significance to the combination of lapis and gold, as well as to the scarab beetle, which was a symbol of resurrection and eternal life. Regalia made of gold and lapis were believed to protect the wearer under the protection of the sun and sky. Gold was considered a sacred metal and related to the sun god Ra, while lapis was considered a sacred stone, its rich blue color symbolizing the night sky.
Lapis and sterling silver, gilded with 22 carat gold.
