The history of the jewelry

This pendants' design is derived from a brooch housed in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In the 19th century, the renowned Roman company Castellani produced jewelry that drew inspiration from the past, aiding their collector-clients in assembling an assortment of ancient jewelry. Through their extensive exposure to Etruscan jewelry, Castellani acquired mastery of ancient techniques such as granulation and twisted wirework.
