Russian Fabergé egg pendant with purple enamel

  • $49.99

"The history of the Jewelry

This piece of jewelry is closely tied to the Fabergé. The egg pendants with purple enamel and faceted crystal, were created by imperial court jeweler Carl Fabergé and his artisans during the period of approximately 1880 to 1910.

Not only were these magnificent eggs crafted for the Russian nobility, but they were also made for European elites and Fabergé's own shops. In 1886, Fabergé was given an annual commission by Czar Alexander III to produce eggs for the Imperial family.

These imaginatively designed eggs were carefully crafted in gold and silver with enamel, precious and semi-precious stones. The brightly colored miniature eggs that are available today are inspired by these original creations.

Material: The egg is made of purple enamel and features crystals.

The gilded chain has a length of 18"
