The history of the jewelry

The pendant is a Hedeby coin, estimated to be from around the year 825, found in Birka, Sweden. The coin displays a typical Nordic depiction of a Viking ship with a curved prow and shields attached along the side of the ship, indicating it was a warship. The small fish below the ship symbolizes the water element. The original coin is now displayed at the National Museum in Denmark.
