Throughout history in both China and Japan, jade (jadeite or nephrite) has been considered the most valuable of all stones. Here used in our Chinese earrings. The ancient Chinese associated green jade with wisdom and the ability to ensure a long life.

Weapons and cutting tools made of jade were stronger than those made from other materials of the time and were common in the Chinese, Mayan, and Egyptian civilizations.
